Signings Confirmed

After filling the gap for one season Huw Bates' position as Bow Street Manager has been taken over by his assistant last year Andrew Simkin. Andrew has been quick to appoint Allan 'Baba' Evans as Assistant Manager and Andy Evans as team coach. Centre half Owain James has been made captain and midfielder Ciaran Cotter vice captain.
"I am delighted to annouce Allan as my assistant, Allan is well known within the community having been a player, Junior Manager and reserve team manager of the club and in my opinion fully deserves this crack at being involved within our first team" Simkin added "there doesnt come much better within the area as Andy as coach, his experience within the game speaks for itself having played for Cardiff City, Barnsley, Aberystwyth Town and Carmarthen Town to name just a few, and he has already proved this within his pre-season training sessions which all the players are thoroughly enjoying".
Andrew is also pleased to announce that the majority of last season's squad have re-signed with the exception of students Rhys Llwyd and Garmon Hafal who have returned home following their graduation from Aberystwyth University, and striker and last years captain Dean Evans, who is travelling to Australia indefinitely.
"Dean has been the clubs main source of goals since the club took the step up to Spar Mid Wales League and since I have taken over as manager replacing this sort of fire power has been my biggest concern, however I am pleased to announce the signing of Mattie Davies from Division Two champions Aberaeron, Mattie's goal scoring record at this level speaks for itself and for me, he was the only player to replace the big void being left by Dean. With Mattie, Lee Jones and Mikey Gornall all on board, I feel we have a strike force that not many defenders in our league are going to relish playing against, including full back Neil Evans we have four of Penparcau's recent title winning squad members on board and this sort of experience could prove invaluable".
Also added to the squad are Kyle Chillery formely of Newbridge and Knighton and former Street midfielder Danny Evans, the return of Gwyn Jones following work commitment and only one substitute appearance last season is also like a new signing for the club.
"I am still keen to add maybe one more player to the squad, failing that I still feel we have a squad more than capable of competing at this level at the top end of the league. We proved last season that we are more than capable of ruffling a few feathers having beaten league champions Rhayader and third placed Newbridge on their own patch and a more than deserved draw up in Llanidloes".
Bow Street have friendlies versus Maesglas, Felinfach, Aberystwyth Town and New Quay before they kick off their league campaign against Welshpool at Cae Piod on 18th August.
