Bow Street 1st Team Bow Street ’s 1st team, managed by Huw Bates, now play their football in the Spar Mid Wales league. Crowned as Cambrian Tyres league champions last season ('06/'07) the club has decided to take the step up to the next division, the first time in its history. The club would like to thank the hard work and support of all involved that have made this possible, and look forward to the challenge!
Bow Street 1st Team Manager Huw Bates "As we enter the ‘business end’ of our inaugural Spar Mid Wales League campaign we sit in 5th position having secured 14 league victories along the way and we have also secured a semi-final berth in the League Cup. If I had been offered 5th place at the start of the season I would have been more than satisfied, especially bearing in mind that three of the teams sitting above us are Premier League reserve sides. Some major highlights of the season so far have been beating Newtown Reserves at Cae Piod and defeating Aber Reserves twice at Park Avenue. The main focus for the rest of the season is to maintain a high level of performance in our remaining league fixtures and do everything we can in our powers to bring the League Cup to Cae Piod. All in all I am very happy with the way the season has progressed and I just hope that when I write my end of season summary I am in equally high spirits! Many thanks to all those who have supported and who continue to support me, Gerwyn and the lads and hopefully we can use this season as a springboard to even greater heights next year and for many years to come at this level of football. There’s not a cloud in the sky, the sun is shining bright, and we’re off to watch the Bow Street ‘cos they’re….dynamite. Batesy. "
