The former League of Ireland goalkeeper who spent 10 years at UEFA took up his new position in August and spent time with club officials to witness the investment made over many years in its facilities and playing surfaces at the ground and learn about the Magpie’s set up and future plans.

Bow Street FC Chairman and FAW Council Member Wyn Lewis added: ‘We were delighted that Noel agreed to take the time to visit us and see what we have to offer here – it is clear that Noel has a great appreciation of grass roots football and the vital role clubs like our play within the wider community. As well as a tour of our grounds and facilities we covered many of the issues facing clubs like ours as well as exploring opportunities for closer working with the FAW and its officials’.

The visit came on the back of the launch of the FAW’s new Strategic Plan ‘Our Wales’, which aims to boost participation levels and improve grassroots infrastructure across Wales, areas which Bow Street FC have had much success over recent years with its growing Junior development set up and grounds development.
