Welcome to the Bow Street Football Club website and the forthcoming 2013/14 season.

The first team currently play in the Spar Mid Wales League Division 1 having joined the league in the 2007/08 season. While this website will keep you up to date with the progress of our first team, it will also focus on our reserve team who play in theĀ first division of the Cambrian Tyres Aberystwyth & District League. Bow Street Football Club has a thriving junior football set up with teams in various age groups up to the U19's team. We hold a very successful summer tournament, which involves over 500 junior footballers, boys and girls.

Bow Street Football Club is a close knit community based club, with a strong family atmosphere and I trust that this will be conveyed via this website.

Firstly, as a new season dawns I'd like to pay tribute to Mr. Emlyn Rees who sadly passed away in January 2013 - a sad time for all involved with Bow Street FC and the community given his immense contribution to the club over several decades and our club President for over 30 years. His commitment and dedication to the club is to be commended and I know he took much pleasure in seeing the club and grounds make great strides over the last 10 years. As a club we are looking to commemorate his legacy with a fitting tribute - the re-naming of the club stand.

We are delighted to announce that our new Club President is Mr. Howard Davies who himself has also been part of the club's evolution for the past 30 years and again Howard's new role is testament to the hard work put in over many seasons. Howard's new role will not i'm sure interfere with his duties as club linesman on Saturday's!

The new season brings with it new management teams throughout our senior sides and it was only a matter a time before 'Big Phil' Evans took the reigns as 1st team manager. Phil successfully masterminded winning the Mid Wales U19's Championship last season and is ably assisted by Nick Smith who will still have an important on field role to play. Our Reserve team will be led by Barry Williams, an ex player with a huge amount of respect and experience for developing local young talent, building on the excellent crop of young players making their way through the ranks. Barry will be assisted by Chris Howard. Following the success of the Under 19's team last season in winning the Mid Wales league at their first attempt, Danny Evans will take control of the team and I'm sure will look to similar success going forward. I wish all our management teams all the very best for the season ahead and thank them for their continued hard work.

This will be my 10th season as Chairman and I continue to be enthused by the excellent club structure which has developed over recent times, from the numerous successful junior teams within the club all the way through to our senior sides and I thank the hard working committee who give up their time for the love of the club, manifested by the growing success of our annual Junior Football Festival which is by now surely the best in Wales if not beyond.

Mwynhewch y wefan!
