Cambrian Tyres League – Division 1

Wednesday 16/08

Bow Street Reserves started their League season in style as they completed what was eventually an emphatic victory. Following their excellent effort in finishing runners up to Bont last season the Bow Street management would have been delighted with the manner of this victory.

Most of the game was played in torrential rain so much credit is due to both teams for providing the spectators with an interesting contest.

Even though Bow Street enjoyed the lion’s share of possession in the first half Borth had their moments and troubled the home goal on many occasions. The only goal came from Justin Quinn following excellent build up work by Dean Evans.

The second half was much more one sided, and the crowd was entertained by some stylish football from the young Bow Street team. The additional goals came from Osian Burrell, Ryan Evans and Gethin ap Dafydd.

Bow Street Reserves face another big clash on Saturday as they travel to play the 2016 champions, Talybont.
