League Cup – Round 1

Saturday 09/09

Bow Street Reserves progressed to the next round of the League Cup with what was eventually a narrow victory over Padarn Utd.

The home side dominated the goalless first half but could not take advantage of the chances they created.

That changed in the second half as Bow Street stormed in to a two goal lead through excellent finishes by Iolo ap Dafydd and Justin Quinn. However, this spurred on the visitors and they equalised through Paul James and Dan Parry.

Both sides created opportunities after this but seven minutes from the end, Nick Smith put the home side ahead from a free kick.

Then, the home side were awarded a penalty in stoppage time but Smith’ strike was well saved by the Padarn keeper.

Bow Street will now play Dolgellau away in the next round.
