A sizeable crowd gathered at Cae Piod for the last home game of the season for the Magpies and they were not to be disappointed as they witnessed a 5-0 victory against a very spirited Berriew team.

Bow Street took a two goal lead in the first half despite not being at their fluent best. The goals were high quality though, first a Mark Gornall special from 30 yards, then an excellent header from a corner by Llion Jenkins.

The second half was very much dominated by the home side, and Jenkins got his second after an hour. Then substitute Tom Evans made an immediate impact when he came on for the last 15 minutes with two goals, the second a sublime header following an excellent move involving several players.

All thoughts now turn immediately to Tuesday’s huge match at Llanidloes where Bow Street play Llanfair in the semi final of the League Cup.
