A size-able crowd gathered at Cae Piod to witness a thriller as visitors Llanidloes fought back for a valuable draw in pursuit of their ultimate goal of promotion to the Cymru Alliance League.

Bow Street enjoyed a terrific first half, being totally dominant and could have added further goals to add to the two goals lead they took in at the interval. The goals were scored firstly by Ifan Burrell with a terrific finish and Tom Evans’ fine individual effort following a lovely through ball by Mark Gornall.

The second half started in similar vein with the home side again looking as if they would score again. But then on the hour mark, a mix up in defence allowed the visitors back in to the game. Then a 35 yard free kick from Gornall hit the bar, a goal then would surely have clinched a home victory. But with twenty minutes to go, another error in the home defence allowed Llanidloes in for the equaliser. The visitors pushed hard in the closing minutes for a victory but the home side held firm.

Manager Barry Williams was philosophical about the result, ‘A game of two halves in many ways, and despite obviously being disappointed in not winning, I can not fault the effort and commitment of the players.’
