Bow Street produced a spirited display as they made high-flying Cymru Alliance side Airbus Broughton UK work for a 3-0 win at the Hollingsworth Stadium.
Pavel Vieira’s 20-yrad shot was easily saved by the visiting keeper Ben Willis in the early excchanges while, at theo ther end, Andy Couhglin had to deal with a long range effort from Mark Gornall. Alfons Fosu-Mensah was just wide with a crashing shot from the edge of the 18-yard box, before Airbus took the lead on 33 minutes when a left-wing corner from Wes Baynes eluded the Willis’ grasp and flew straight into the far corner.
The lead was doubled in the 54th minute when Leo Riley scored from Fosu-Mensah’s byline cross, and further home chances saw sub Luke Busumbru hit the post and a Peers header and a rasping Riley free-kick were well saved by Willis. After Steve Tomassen had headed wide from a Baynes cross, the Magpies defence was finally breached six minutes from time by Murphy, who did well to find the back of the after being picked-out at the far post by Riley’s pin-point cross.
