Bow Street moved in to fourth place in the Spar Mid Wales League with a slightly fortuitous win over a plucky Llandrindod team.

The home side took the lead early following an own goal, and despite other opportunities, they were unable to capitalise on their advantage in the first. Instead, it was the visitors who equalised, deservedly just before half time after a period of pressure.

The second half was very even with opportunities for both sides. But with 8 minutes remaining the tireless Andrew Gittings hit a superb shot which hit the crossbar, and as the ball rebounded in to play, the ever alert Tomos Williams was on hand to hit home the rebound and secure an extremely valuable three points.

Manager Barry Williams was philosophical after the game, ‘Not our best performance of the season by a long way, but I suppose it is always good to secure a win when not playing at our best.’
